Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, along with Members of Parliament, will undertake a regional visit to Banas Dairy from December 4–6, 2025. During the visit, the Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Cooperation will review progress related to cooperative dairy development and other key initiatives.
Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the cooperative movement has emerged as a powerful driver of rural prosperity, value addition, and sustainable development across India. This field visit aims to highlight the contribution of the “cooperative model”, implemented under Amit Shah’s leadership, toward achieving the national goals of “Prosperity through Cooperation” and “Viksit Bharat”.
Review of Banas Dairy’s Initiatives
The committee will assess initiatives taken by Banas Dairy in:
Dairy development
Circular economy
Agricultural value addition
Livestock productivity
Water conservation
Strengthening rural cooperatives
The delegation will include Ministers of State for Cooperation Krishan Pal Gurjar and Murlidhar Mohol, along with senior officials of the ministry.
Third Meeting of Advisory Committee on December 6
The third meeting of the Advisory Committee, chaired by Amit Shah, will be held on December 6, 2025, at the Banas Dairy premises in Banaskantha, focusing on cooperative dairy development initiatives.
Major Inaugurations and Foundation Stones
During the visit, Amit Shah will:
Inaugurate the Agathala Bio-CNG and Fertilizer Plant on December 6
This key circular-economy project will boost farmer incomes while contributing to clean and green energy.
Lay the foundation stone for a state-of-the-art 150 TPD Milk Powder and Baby Food Plant at Sanadar.
Visits to Advanced Processing Facilities
Members of Parliament will tour Banas Dairy’s advanced processing units at the Palanpur headquarters, including:
Cheese plant
UHT processing plant
Protein recovery facility producing high-protein lassi, buttermilk, and other value-added products

Environmental Initiatives
In line with its sustainability goals, Banas Dairy has dispersed over 9 crore seed balls and undertaken extensive plantation drives. MPs will participate in a tree plantation programme at Loonawa during the visit.
