Mumbai, 25th May, 2022: Ambuja Cements Ltd., one of India’s most sustainable cement companies, is proud to announce that one of the schools set up for the wards of its employees and the communities around its manufacturing plants in Rajasthan, is celebrating its silver jubilee year .
Founded in 1996 at Jaitaran, Pali district in Rajasthan, Ambuja Public School was the first CBSE board-affiliated school in the region. Today, it is one of the most sought-after educational institutions in the state with over 1,000 pupils on its rolls.The school caters to people within a 50-kilometre radius, which encompasses at least 16 villages and small towns. It has been an oasis of knowledge to people living in this region, imparting education to many first-generation learners and the economically disadvantaged too.
Ambuja Public School reposed faith in the society and that was repaid manifold by the communities living in the region. The institution provides education in the faculties of humanities, commerce and science. Its students have consistently made it to the merit lists and part of the 90+ percentile club in the class X and class XII board examinations.
Says Principal Ipsita Choudhury, “When the humanities stream was introduced inschool, alumnus Ms. Anju Rathore made the school proud by securing the first position in Pali district”. Among the long list of exceptional students from the school are ShamitaRawal, Saubhagya Singh, Vaibhav Maheshwari, SaloniVaishnav, Neha Jyani, Manish Sirvi, Richa Kothari, Ishita Tiwari, who have left behind an indelible mark on academics. “These results have influenced parents to send their children to our school especially their daughters as well as inspired the younger lot to think out-of-the-box and take up challenging professions,” added Ms Choudhury.
Some of the fields in which the school’s alumni have distinguished themselves include civil services, fashion and design, architecture and engineering, visual arts, medicine, information technology, to name a few. Ambuja Cements is happy to note that it’s able to contribute to the progress of society and the nation through such means.
This was possible because of the excellent teaching and learning practices like cinema, yoga, play etcadopted by the school for the benefit of students. The school is also proud to note that it has an equal proportion of students from urban and rural areas, which facilitates an impressive exchange of views between them.
