Till 9 pm on Thursday, the number of tickets sold stood at 2.80 lakh plus and by the early morning, it would have touched the 3 lakh mark. With this sort of an advance trend, 'Adipurush' is the fourth highest film in terms of the advance tickets sold at national chains. It stands behind 'Pathaan', 'KGF 2' and 'Brahmastra'.
Directed by Om Raut, 'Adipurush' is a mythological film based on Hindu epic Ramayana. It stars Prabhas in the role of Raghava, Kriti Sanon as Janaki, Sunny Singh as Lakshmana, Devdatta Nage as Bajrang and Saif Ali Khan as the antagonist Lankesh. The film is mounted on a grand budget of Rs 500 crore and is heavy on VFX. 'Adipurush' is expected to have a grand opening at the box office since the advance booking numbers looked promising. Paying an ode to Lord Hanuman, theatre owners have been asked to leave one seat empty during every screening. The excitement for 'Adipurush' is at its peak and the film will have early morning shows in Telangana starting at 4 AM. ‘Adipurush’ will be released today in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
