Aakash Healthcare Super Speciality Hospital and Socrates School of Health conducted an interactive workshop entitled "Rising Research-2026" to deliberate upon "Good Clinical Practice (GCP) E6 (R3) Guidelines and ALCOA Principles". The objective of the workshop was to build awareness regarding ethical, transparent and quality-driven clinical research practices.
The workshop discussed various issues related to the dynamic nature of clinical research, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and accuracy of data in healthcare research studies. The importance of GCP E6 (R3) guidelines was emphasised to ensure that clinical trials are conducted ethically and that the rights, safety, and welfare of subjects are protected during clinical trials.
The workshop particularly focused on ALCOA principles in which data generated in healthcare research is "attributable, legible, contemporaneous, original, and accurate".
Dr. Aashish Chaudhry, Managing Director, Aakash Healthcare, said, “Clinical research is essential in the improvement of patient care and science itself. India has great potential for being the next big thing in ethical and scientific research. These workshops assist in bridging the gap between academics and practical medicine as well as inspire the young generation of healthcare practitioners to be involved in research.”
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Kamal K. Parwal, Director – Academics & Clinical Research, Aakash Healthcare, said, “Clinical research today is rapidly evolving with technology, data science, and patient-centric care at its core. Through this workshop, our objective was to build a stronger culture of ethical and high-quality clinical research among healthcare professionals and young researchers. At Aakash Healthcare, we are committed to creating a robust ecosystem for academics, research, and innovation.”
The programme also showcased Aakash Healthcare’s growing focus on academics and advanced clinical research. The hospital currently offers DNB, DrNB, FNB, fellowship, paramedical, and skill enhancement programmes across multiple specialties under the Department of Academics & Clinical Research.
