Jaipur, April 28, 2026: Ajmer is set to get a major boost in education and tourism with a ₹42 crore science park under construction in the Panchsheel area, with authorities planning nominal entry fees and free access for school groups.
Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani reviewed the progress of the project during a site visit on Tuesday and said the park is being developed with modern facilities to promote practical science learning among students.
The upcoming science park will feature key infrastructure including an auditorium, planetarium, exhibition hall, and seminar rooms. These facilities are expected to host science-based exhibitions, educational activities, and academic programmes aimed at fostering scientific thinking among students.
Officials stated that entry fees for visitors will be kept minimal, while school children visiting in groups will be allowed free entry, ensuring wider accessibility for both urban and rural students.
Devnani highlighted that the project is expected to be completed within the next one year and will serve as both an educational hub and a tourist attraction. He added that the initiative will not only strengthen Ajmer’s positioning as a centre for education and science but also generate local employment opportunities.
The science park is being positioned as a long-term investment in building scientific awareness and curiosity among students, while simultaneously contributing to the city’s tourism economy.
