Jaipur, April 28, 2026: The Rajasthan government has approved ₹4.49 crore for the construction of a new building for the Government Senior Secondary School in Bhanwari village of Pali district, addressing long-standing safety concerns and infrastructure gaps.
The approval is part of a larger administrative sanction of ₹409.49 crore issued by the Rajasthan Council of School Education for the construction of buildings in 300 government schools across the state. The allocation includes 185 primary schools, 70 upper primary schools, and 45 senior secondary schools under the Samagra Shiksha initiative.
The existing school building in Bhanwari, located in the Sumerpur विधानसभा क्षेत्र, had been declared unsafe due to its deteriorated condition, affecting academic activities. Local residents had been demanding a new facility to ensure a सुरक्षित learning environment for students.
Animal Husbandry Minister and local MLA Joraram Kumawat acknowledged the approval and credited Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma for prioritising the project. He stated that the proposal was included in the supplementary budget announcement for 2025–26 under the Samagra Shiksha scheme.
Officials indicated that the new building will improve basic infrastructure and enable uninterrupted academic functioning. The project is expected to benefit students in the region by providing safer and better-equipped learning spaces.
