
On the basis of proposal received from Electoral Registration Officers to organize and reorganize polling stations, after reorganization in 19 assembly constituencies of the district, now there will be 4 thousand 529 polling stations.
District Election Officer Shri Prakash Rajpurohit said this during a meeting organized in the Collectorate Auditorium on Wednesday regarding the streamlining and reorganization of polling stations. He said that at present there are 4 thousand 652 polling stations in the district. Due to the reorganization, 42 polling stations have increased and 123 polling stations have decreased. After the reorganization, the number of polling stations has now increased to 4 thousand 529.
The District Election Officer said that as per the instructions of the Election Commission of India and the Election Department, a special brief revision program of the photo voter lists of the assembly constituency would be organized with reference to the qualification date January 1, 2023. The publication of the draft of the voter lists will be done on 09 November 2022 (Wednesday) and the final publication of the voter list will be done on 05 January 2023 (Thursday).
Deputy District Election Officer Smt. Amrita Choudhary, SDM Jaipur Shri Rakesh Kumar Meena and officials of the concerned political parties were present in the meeting.
