World University of Design (WUD), India’s first university dedicated to education in the creative domain, held its 4th convocation ceremony at the Sonipat Campus in Haryana. Mr. Sameep Shastri, Vice Chairman, BRICS Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BRICS CCI), graced the event as Chief Guest, where the varsity awarded degrees to 220 students. The convocation marked the transition of students from diverse design disciplines into professionals and with degrees conferred and a design pledge made, the university confidently sent them on their professional journey. Equipped with knowledge and a global outlook, these graduates are set to shape the future of the design industry.
World University of Design also awarded Honorary Doctorate Degrees to three creative luminaries, highlighting its commitment to recognizing and rewarding excellence. K.S. Radhakrishnan, a modernist sculptor blending traditional and contemporary forms, celebrated for iconic figures like Maiya and Musui; Bappa Ray, an anthropological filmmaker whose award-winning documentaries preserve India’s rural and tribal cultures, earning global acclaim and UNESCO recognition; and Ashok B. Lall, a visionary architect and educator advancing sustainable, socially responsible design through iconic projects and advocacy for low-carbon, affordable housing. These pioneers have redefined their fields, leaving lasting legacies in art, film, and architecture.

This year, approximately 94% of students at the World University of Design secured placements. The average annual salary for the graduating batch of 2024 is 5.6 LPA. The highest salary offered for the 2024 batch is 15 LPA.
