U.S. markets witnessed sharp stock-specific moves, with biotechnology and healthcare names leading gains while several Chinese and energy-linked stocks posted steep declines.
Among the top gainers, Zhengye Biotechnology Holding Ltd. (ZYBT) surged more than 1,047%, making it the session's biggest advancer. It was followed by ReNew Energy Global plc (RNWWW), up 80%, Advanced Biomed Inc. (ADVB), which climbed 74.5%, GeneDx Holdings Corp. (WGSWW), gaining 71.4%, and Osisko Gold Group Inc. (OGGWZ), rising nearly 50%.
On the losing side, Li Bang International Corp. (LBGJ) plunged 90.8%, marking the steepest decline of the day. Globavend Holdings Ltd. (GVH) dropped 68.9%, while Eos Energy Enterprises (EOSER) fell 66.1%. Reservoir Media Inc. (RSVRW) declined 55.7%, and Smart Powerr Corp. (CREG) slipped 46%.
Trading activity remained robust across ETFs and large-cap technology stocks. ProShares Bitcoin Strategy ETF (BITO) led the market in share volume, followed by Eos Energy Enterprises (EOSER), Ondas Holdings (ONDS), AMC Entertainment (AMC), and UiPath (PATH).
By dollar trading volume, Micron Technology (MU) topped the list after gaining 1.94%. Other heavily traded stocks included SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY), NVIDIA (NVDA), Apple (AAPL), and Invesco QQQ Trust (QQQ), reflecting continued investor focus on technology and benchmark index ETFs.
