Addressing the graduating students, Dr. B. V. R. Mohan Reddy, said, “For graduates, today closes one chapter and opens another. 5 decades of my life, I’ve spent as an engineer and an institution builder, but even now at the age of 75, I am still a student. Today, from Biotech which is extending human life, to space travelwhich is going commercial, AI is reshaping every industry imaginable. The world you’re walking through today will change dramatically in the next few years. I understand your apprehensions - will AI take away jobs? Will machines replace us? Will machines beobsolete before I get a chance to use them? I heard versions like these all through my career. People earlier feared computers and the internet. However, every single wave of technology created more opportunities than destroyed it. Technology does not replacehuman effort. It augments it. The future belongs to people with curiosity, judgement empathy, and integrity, who pair them with AI. AI is not a threat; it is just a tool. In the new world, the most valuable asset is not what you already know, but what youcontinue to learn.”
Speaking on the accomplishments of the graduating batch, Dr. B Chennakesava Rao, Principal, VNRVJIET, said, “Graduation is not the culmination of learning, but the beginning of a journey filled with opportunities, challenges, and continuous growth. At VNRVJIET, we have always focused on nurturing professionalswho possess not only technical expertise but also the values, resilience, and adaptability required to thrive in a rapidly evolving world. We are confident that our graduates will make meaningful contributions to industry, society, and the nation.
