As Sivadevi Thomar’s sacrifice did not work, her sister says 14-year-old Jaidevi Thomar has pledged to avenge her sister’s murder. She is said to have gathered youth from surrounding villages and chased the British forces heading to Lucknow.
The youth were motivated to turn the people of Meerut, Bulandhar, Aleichad, Manipuri, Etawa against the British. In Lucknow, they started searching for British teams. It took many days to find out about them without food and help in unknown place.
