Sakti (Chhattisgarh): An FIR has been registered against industrialist Anil Agarwal and several others following a fatal boiler explosion at a Vedanta power plant in Sakti district, which left around 20 workers dead and several injured.
The incident occurred at a unit operated by Vedanta Limited, triggering immediate rescue operations and drawing scrutiny over industrial safety standards at the facility.
According to preliminary findings, the blast is suspected to have been caused by a pressure build-up inside the boiler, raising concerns of potential technical failure and safety protocol violations.
