
Annual Examination (Private)-2020 of PG and UG courses, Faculty of Humanities & Languages and Faculty of Social Sciences started today on the university campus. About 8 thousand students will be appearing for these exams which will be conducted till 25th October, 2020.JMI provides private mode facility for those students (particularly girls) who cannot enrol themselves in regular mode due to various reasons.About 85 percent of the approximately 3000 examinees appeared today in the exams conducted in two shifts.Exams were conducted at 5 examination centres in Faculty buildings of Engineering & Technology, Humanities and Languages, Natural Science, Social Science and University Polytechnic. Deans of faculties were the Superintendents of Exams in theie respective faculty’s examination centre.In-charge Examinations PG and UG (Private) 2020 Prof. Iqtedar M. Khan said that all Covid-19 protocols followed during the NEET and JEE exams conducted by the NTA were followed here too.He informed that all 5 Examination Centres were sanitised a day before the exam. Candidates were asked to bring their own water bottle and pocket size hand sanitizer.Examinees were allowed to enter examination centres while following social distancing norms, with proper face mask and temperature check. No student was found to be having more than 99.4 degree Fahrenheit temperature. Isolation/separate rooms for student having more than 99.4 degree Fahrenheit temperature were also arranged. Seating arrangements inside the examination halls were also made following the social distancing norms.Banners welcoming the examinees were put up at the main gates of the university and exam centres. On completion of exam, the candidates were permitted to move out in an orderly manner i.e. one candidate at a time.
