Temple has announced the acquisition of Longevous, a London-based evidence-based longevity medicine practice, as it prepares for launch.
As part of the acquisition, Longevous founders Dr. Robert Mohr and Dr. Avi Roy will join Temple full-time. Dr. Mohr has been appointed Chief Medical Officer, bringing nearly two decades of clinical experience and expertise in preventive and precision medicine.
Dr. Avi Roy, an Oxford-trained biomedical scientist, joins Temple as Head of Science. He has experience at the intersection of longevity science and business and will work alongside the company's in-house science team.
The two founders had spent the past two months testing Temple and working with its science team to evaluate its data, scientific approach and validation work. They also reviewed the company's initial scientific manuscripts before submission.
Longevous will continue operating as part of Temple, with Dr. Mohr and Dr. Roy continuing to personally serve its existing clients.
