Bihar Assembly Election 2025 results are pouring in, and the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) appears headed for a sweeping victory. As of 4:10 PM, trends show the NDA leading in 202 of the 243 seats, surpassing its 2020 tally of 122 seats. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is on track for a historic fifth consecutive term, continuing his record as Bihar’s longest-serving CM.
Meanwhile, the Mahagathbandhan is leading in 34 seats. Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav is ahead by 10,000 votes in Raghopur, keeping his party in focus. Congress has also improved its tally, signaling some gains despite the NDA surge.
Other prominent candidates in the fray include Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, JJD’s Tej Pratap, and Bihar Congress president Rajesh Kumar.
Vote counting, which began at 8 AM, aligns largely with exit polls predicting a clean sweep for the NDA. However, Tejashwi Yadav has rejected these forecasts, asserting that the Mahagathbandhan will form the government with a strong mandate.
