October 5, 2026: Several stocks are likely to remain in focus on Monday after companies including Poonawalla Fincorp, RBL Bank, Nykaa, Physics Wallah and Ola Electric reported key business updates. Global market cues were mixed, with Asian markets trading unevenly and US indices ending higher.
Poonawalla Fincorp reports AUM of ₹73,950 crore
Poonawalla Fincorp reported provisional assets under management (AUM) of ₹73,950 crore and liquidity of ₹6,400 crore as of September 30, 2026.
The company said it continues to follow a risk-first approach, supported by risk management and diversified assets, with a focus on sustainable and profitable growth. The figures are subject to limited review.
RBL Bank deposits rise 34% YoY
RBL Bank reported provisional September 2026 figures showing total deposits of ₹1,562.8 billion, registering a 34% year-on-year and 25% quarter-on-quarter increase.
CASA deposits stood at ₹425.3 billion, up 14% YoY, while the CASA ratio was 27.2%. Gross advances rose to ₹1,433.5 billion, increasing 40% YoY and 22% QoQ.
Retail advances grew 51% YoY and 42% QoQ, while wholesale advances increased 55% YoY and 21% QoQ. The bank's liquidity coverage ratio improved to 148%.
Nykaa expects strong Q2 FY27 growth
FSN E-Commerce Ventures, the parent company of Nykaa, expects consolidated GMV growth of around 30% YoY in Q2 FY27, while NSV growth is expected in the early 30% range. Consolidated net revenue growth is projected in the late 20% range.
The beauty business is expected to record late-20% YoY growth in both NSV and net revenue. Nykaa expanded its retail network by 14 stores to 338 stores, with like-for-like store sales growing in the early 20% range.
The fashion business reported expected NSV growth in the late 40% range and net revenue growth in the early 40% range. More than 250 brands were added, while the company's Nike partnership showed early traction.
Physics Wallah subsidiary to sell ₹95.79 crore loan portfolio
Physics Wallah Ltd said its wholly owned subsidiary FinZ Finance has entered into an agreement to sell its loan portfolio worth ₹95.79 crore to Auxilo Finserve Private Limited.
The transaction represents a substantial reduction in FinZ Finance's lending operations and forms part of a strategic realignment towards Physics Wallah's core business. The transaction is expected to be completed within 60 days.
FinZ Finance began operations in February 2026. Its total income stood at ₹1.35 crore and net worth at ₹60.30 crore as of March 31, 2026.
Ola Electric promoter pledges 4.32% stake
Ola Electric promoter Bhavish Aggarwal has pledged 4.32% of his stake in the company to fund his participation in the recently approved rights issue.
The company said the pledge is exclusively for subscribing to the rights issue and that no shares are being sold. Aggarwal will participate in the rights issue on the same terms as other shareholders.
The Draft Letter of Offer was filed on September 28, 2026.
Chennai Meenakshi Multispeciality Hospital appoints independent director
Chennai Meenakshi Multispeciality Hospital Ltd appointed R V Ramanuja Bharathi as an Independent Director for five years from August 11, 2026. The appointment was approved at the company's AGM held on September 30.
Shareholders also approved the appointment of T. Murugan as Secretarial Auditor for FY2026-27. Bharathi is an advocate with expertise in legal strategy and corporate law.
Global markets
Global market cues were mixed on October 5. The S&P 500 was indicated at 7,722.72, up 0.73%, while the Nasdaq gained 1.19% to 27,190.86. Dow Jones futures were at 51,190.22, up 0.03%.
In Asia, GIFT Nifty stood at 22,636.50, up 0.64%. Japan's Nikkei 225 gained 2.35%, while the Hang Seng declined 2.67%. The Shanghai Composite rose 0.31%.
