Jaipur, April 24, 2026: Jaipur Zila Parishad has launched an innovative initiative aimed at promoting women empowerment and sustainable waste management through the establishment of a Triple R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) centre named “Shakti Sangam.”
The centre was set up on March 14, 2026, in Khejrawas Panchayat, where women participants have not only enhanced their skills but also collectively saved ₹25,000 within a month, as of April 14, 2026.
To review the progress of the initiative, a special workshop was held at the Collectorate premises in the presence of District Collector Sandesh Nayak, Zila Pramukh Rama Devi Chaipra, and CEO Zila Parishad Pratibha Verma.
During the workshop, officials and staff were directed to contribute unused household items such as clothes, shoes, books, and plastic materials by depositing them in donation boxes installed at the Collectorate.
The collected items will be cleaned, refurbished, and distributed daily to underprivileged and needy individuals through the “Shakti Sangam” centre, which is being operated under the supervision of the Zila Parishad.
