A powerful explosion occurred near Delhi’s Red Fort on Monday evening, leaving eight people dead and at least 12 others injured. The blast, which took place close to Gate No. 1 of the Lal Qila Metro Station around 7 PM, also set several vehicles ablaze. The cause of the explosion is yet to be confirmed.
According to the Delhi Fire Services, a distress call was received shortly after the explosion, and seven fire tenders were rushed to the scene.
