Jaipur, July 31: Rajasthan Parliamentary Affairs, Law and Legal Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel chaired a high-level review meeting at the Jodhpur Development Authority (JDA) Auditorium on Friday to assess the progress of key development projects and budget announcements across Jodhpur district.
The meeting was attended by Jodhpur City MLA Atul Bhansali and Sursagar MLA Devendra Joshi, along with senior officials from the Jodhpur Development Authority (JDA), Public Works Department (PWD), Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department, Rajasthan Urban Infrastructure Development Project (RUIDP), Rajasthan Urban Drinking Water Sewerage & Infrastructure Corporation (RUDSICO), Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SAMSA), and the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM).
Government Committed to Inclusive Development
Addressing the meeting, Minister Jogaram Patel said the Rajasthan Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, remains committed to the state's sustainable and inclusive development. He directed all departments to ensure 100% implementation of budget announcements, warning that any negligence in execution would not be tolerated. Officials were instructed to regularly monitor the progress of development works.
Faster Land Allocation and Improved Infrastructure
The Minister directed JDA officials to ensure proper road shoulders and drainage systems in ongoing road construction projects. He also instructed authorities to install high-mast lights at junctions connecting national and state highways to improve road safety.
Patel further asked the JDA and Revenue Department to expedite pending cases related to government land allocation for public purposes. The Quality Control Wing was instructed to continuously monitor construction quality.
Directions on Drainage, Sewerage and Waste Management
Reviewing urban infrastructure projects, the Minister directed RUIDP to complete the RTO Nala and Bhairav Nala construction works at the earliest. He also instructed RUIDP to transfer the required road construction deposit to the JDA.
Municipal Corporation officials were asked to complete the pending University Nala project and review the progress of the trunk sewer line connecting Tanawara to Salawas Sewage Treatment Plant (STP).
Additionally, the Municipal Corporation was directed to immediately begin door-to-door waste collection in Uchiyarda and Kudi areas, while ensuring smooth operation of the municipal control room and issuing a dedicated toll-free helpline number.
Focus on Quality and Timely Completion
The Minister also reviewed the progress of urban and rural service camps and instructed all departments to complete ongoing infrastructure projects within the stipulated timelines while maintaining high construction quality.
Revenue Department officials were directed to promptly dispose of all pending cases related to input subsidies and National Food Security Act (NFSA) beneficiaries.
