Jaipur, February 11: Cooperation Minister (Independent Charge) Gautam Kumar Dak said the State Budget 2026–27 is development-oriented and inclusive, laying a strong foundation to realise the vision of Viksit Rajasthan @ 2047. He stated that the budget will accelerate economic growth and ensure holistic development across the state.
Dak highlighted that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, the budget gives balanced priority to youth welfare, infrastructure, law and order, healthcare, education, drinking water, energy, agriculture and farmer welfare, cooperation, industry, and tourism. The announcements made by Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Diya Kumari reflect the government’s commitment to building a self-reliant and developed Rajasthan, keeping the interests of youth, women, farmers, and workers at the core.
Strengthening the cooperative sector remains a key focus. The budget provides for ₹25,000 crore in interest-free short-term crop loans for over 35 lakh farmers in the coming year, with ₹800 crore allocated towards interest subsidy. Additionally, a 5% interest subsidy has been announced on ₹590 crore worth of long-term cooperative loans for agriculture and non-agriculture sectors, expected to benefit around 26,000 farmers and small entrepreneurs while promoting rural entrepreneurship.
The Minister added that construction of new warehouses and renovation of old storage facilities in cooperative societies will enhance the state’s storage capacity. Establishment of district cooperative consumer stores in newly formed districts and gift sale centres across all districts will ensure availability of quality products at reasonable prices. He expressed confidence that these measures will strengthen the cooperative ecosystem and drive Rajasthan steadily towards its goal of becoming a developed state.
