Raipur, December 4, 2025 — Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai visited Suhela on Thursday to participate in a public programme that highlighted multiple development initiatives across the region. The event reflected the government’s priority toward farmers, rural development, social welfare, and youth empowerment.
Unique Gesture: CM Weighed with Paddy to Honour Farmers
During his visit to departmental stalls, Chief Minister Sai witnessed a unique tribute by the Cooperation Department, which weighed him using paddy—a symbolic gesture to honour the hard work and contribution of the state’s annadatas.
The Chief Minister interacted with farmers and reviewed the ongoing MSP-based paddy procurement arrangements. Farmers expressed gratitude for the transparent and convenient system and presented him with an appreciation letter.
Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw, Revenue Minister Tankaram Verma, and Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal were also present.
PM Awas Yojana: Keys Handed Over to 10 Beneficiaries
At the Police Department stall, the Chief Minister felicitated members of a 10-member women commando team for their work in anti-drug initiatives, awarding them certificates and distributing helmets.
At the Panchayat & Rural Development stall, he inspected the Atal Digital Service Centre and handed over housing keys to 10 beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY).
Support for Youth, Farmers, Women, and Divyang Citizens
The event also saw the distribution of welfare benefits across multiple departments:
25 persons with disabilities received assistive devices from the Social Welfare Department
The Agriculture Department distributed mustard, ragi, and lentil seeds to 18 farmers
Under the Skill Development Department’s “Hum Honge Kamyab” training initiative, 60 youth were awarded certificates

The Suhela programme not only highlighted the effective implementation of government schemes but also sent a strong message of the administration's sensitivity and commitment towards farmers, women, youth, and persons with disabilities.
