Chhattisgarh has created history by making a remarkable debut at the 15th Manipur International Polo Tournament, held in Imphal from 22 to 29 November 2025. For the first time in India’s history, a state team was invited to represent the country at an international polo tournament — a milestone moment for Chhattisgarh.
Chief Minister Meets Players, Extends Congratulations
Members of the Chhattisgarh team met Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai at his Raipur residence. The Chief Minister congratulated the players for their exceptional performance and said it was a moment of pride for the entire state.
He praised the talent of tribal youth in Chhattisgarh and said that with government support, equestrian and polo sports have received new direction and recognition. He encouraged players to continue competing with the same dedication and passion in the future.
Historic Debut on the International Stage
Chhattisgarh’s participation in the global tournament marked a strong presence at both national and international sporting platforms. The team competed against prestigious sides from:

“Khel Se Shakti” Initiative Boosts Tribal Talent

This initiative reflects the state government's commitment to empowering tribal youth through sports, education, and advanced training, while creating pathways for them to excel at national and international levels.
