Raipur, December 17, 2025 — The Excise Department continues its sustained crackdown on illegal liquor activities in Balodabazar district. As part of the ongoing enforcement drive, officials seized a total of 23.4 bulk litres of country-made liquor, with an estimated market value of ₹11,000, and arrested two accused.
According to official sources, during an operation conducted in village Malda under the Kasdol circle, the Excise Department team recovered 18.00 bulk litres of plain country liquor from the possession of Rajkumar Sahu, a resident of Malda. The seized liquor is valued at approximately ₹8,000.
In a separate action in village Nagpura under the Palari circle, the team seized 5.4 bulk litres of spiced country liquor from Domesh Chandrakar, with an estimated market value of ₹3,000.
Cases have been registered against both accused under the provisions of the Chhattisgarh Excise Act, and further investigation is underway.
