New Delhi, April 26, 2025 — NDTV (New Delhi Television Limited) is pleased to announce the appointment of veteran journalist Rahul Kanwal as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Key Managerial Personnel. The appointment was approved by the Board of Directors at its meeting held on April 25, 2025. Mr. Kanwal will formally take charge on June 16, 2025.
With over 25 years of experience in television journalism, election analysis, and investigative reporting, Rahul Kanwal is a respected leader in the Indian media industry. Prior to joining NDTV, he served as News Director at India Today and Aaj Tak, and as Executive Director at Business Today. His distinguished career also includes notable roles at Headlines Today and Zee News.
An alumnus of the General Management Program at Harvard Business School and a Chevening Scholar, Mr. Kanwal studied journalism at Delhi University and completed a specialized program in International Broadcast Journalism at Cardiff University.
Rahul Kanwal’s work has been widely recognized with numerous accolades, including the prestigious Roy Peck Trust Grant for Hostile Environment Journalism. His appointment marks a significant step in NDTV’s ongoing commitment to journalistic excellence and innovation.
