PVR INOX, the largest and the most premium cinema exhibitor in India has achieved a major milestone of successfully opening 168 screens across 30 properties in 24 cities in this fiscal year. PVR INOX accomplished this landmark after it opened 2 new multiplexes with 5-Screens in Dehradun in the state of Uttarakhand and 4-Screens in Armoor in the state of Telangana with a cumulative screen count of 9 screens today. The opening of these cinemas is in accordance with the company’s expansion strategy to accelerate growth in underpenetrated markets of the country. The company consolidates its presence in North India with 443 screens in 101 properties and 523 screens in 94 properties in South India.
PVR INOX announces the unveiling of a new 5-screen multiplex in Dehradun featuring the first multisensory 4DX auditorium and the second property in the state of Uttarakhand. Located at Centrio Mall, the property has a seating capacity of 819 audiences with plush recliners and best-in-class theatrical solutions including SP4K Laser projectors, Dolby 7.1 audio and Next-Gen 3D screens.
4DX is the world’s first 4D movie format that delivers a fully immersive cinematic experience by which movies are no longer bound by their visual and aural limits. 4DX’s immersive cinematic experience presents the future of the movie industry and is widely considered to be the biggest innovation in cinematic technology to date.
Adding a new city to its national circuit, PVR INOX expands its footprints in the South region, with the launch of its 19th property in Armoor in the state of Telangana. The 4-screen multiplex with a seating capacity of 1254 audiences with recliners incorporates cutting-edge cinematic technologies including 2K projectors, Next-Gen 3D screens and Dolby Atmos Sound.
