Jaipur, 08 December. The process of becoming a member of the Constitution Club of Rajasthan has started. Distribution of application forms for this has been started. Application forms can be obtained from the Assembly Secretariat. Seven categories have been created for membership of the club. Applicants can apply for lifetime, ordinary, special, general, non-resident and individual foreign, temporary and institutional membership of the club.
Principal Secretary of the Legislative Assembly Shri Mahavir Prasad Sharma said that 1 lakh 95 thousand feet of basement, ground floor and five floors have been constructed in the Constitution Club. This project of the state is a good example in the country. The club has been constructed at a cost of approximately Rs 80 crore on 4 thousand 948 square meter plot near the Legislative Assembly. The club has been constructed with rooms for the guests including restaurant, coffee house, swimming pool, auditorium, meeting hall, conference hall, gym, salon, badminton and tennis court.
Principal Secretary Shri Sharma said that members and former members of Rajya Sabha, Lok Sabha and Rajasthan Legislative Assembly can apply for lifetime and ordinary membership of the Constitution Club. Judges of the Supreme and High Courts, District Judges, Vice Chancellors of Universities and present and former officers of All India Services can become members of the Club. Eminent and prominent citizens, artists, sportspersons, scholars, journalists, writers, intellectuals, achievers in public life, industrialists and entrepreneurs who have received national or international awards, prizes or recognition in their respective fields can also apply for membership of the club. .
It is noteworthy that Rajasthan Legislative Assembly is the first legislative assembly in the country, where Constitution Club has been created. The Constitution Club has been built in Jaipur on the lines of the Constitution Club in New Delhi.
