Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic loss of lives following a mishap in Phalodi district, Rajasthan. Extending his condolences to the bereaved families, the Prime Minister also wished for the speedy recovery of those injured in the incident.
Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the Prime Minister posted:
“Saddened by the loss of lives due to a mishap in Phalodi district, Rajasthan. My thoughts are with the affected people and their families during this difficult time. Praying for the speedy recovery of the injured.”
In a compassionate gesture, PM Modi announced an ex-gratia assistance from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) — ₹2 lakh each for the next of kin of the deceased, and ₹50,000 for those injured.
Officials have been directed to ensure that all possible assistance is extended to the victims’ families and that the injured receive timely medical care. Local authorities, along with state disaster response teams, are currently overseeing rescue and relief operations in the affected area.
