Prime Minister Narendra Modi has embarked on a two-day State visit to Israel, marking his second official trip to the country.
During the visit, PM Modi and his Israeli counterpart, Benjamin Netanyahu, will review the progress achieved under the India–Israel Strategic Partnership. The leaders are expected to explore new avenues of cooperation across key sectors, including science and technology, innovation, defence and security, agriculture, water management, trade, economic collaboration, and people-to-people ties.
They will also exchange views on important regional and global developments of mutual interest.
India’s Ambassador to Israel, J P Singh, stated that Prime Minister Modi will address the Israeli Parliament, the Knesset, becoming the first Indian leader to do so.
On the second day of his visit, the Prime Minister is scheduled to meet Israeli President Isaac Herzog.
According to the Ministry of External Affairs, the visit is aimed at reaffirming the deep-rooted and long-standing strategic partnership between India and Israel. It will also provide an opportunity to assess shared challenges and align efforts toward strengthening cooperation between the two resilient democracies.
