Jaipur, 30 May: Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) Minister Shri Kanhaiya Lal Chaudhary held a departmental review meeting at the Pali Collectorate on Friday, where he reviewed the current drinking water situation, demand, supply, and the status of ongoing and proposed water supply projects in the district. Directions were issued based on the discussions. Animal Husbandry Minister Shri Joraram Kumawat was also present and shared his views and suggestions regarding water distribution.
Shri Chaudhary reviewed water availability, distribution, and project progress across all blocks of the district, including Pali, Marwar, Sojat, Bali, Sumerpur, and Rohat, covering both rural and urban areas. He instructed officials to ensure uninterrupted and timely water distribution during the summer months and to run campaigns to disconnect illegal water connections.
He also directed the use of water tankers in areas facing water scarcity and emphasized the need for proper monitoring to ensure fair distribution. On this occasion, he reviewed the progress of various water schemes, including approved and pending works under the Jal Jeevan Mission and AMRUT 2.0, and issued necessary instructions.
During the meeting, Shri Joraram Kumawat gave specific instructions to address the water crisis, especially in the Sumerpur area.
Marwar Junction MLA Shri Kesararam Chaudhary provided updates about the water supply situation in his constituency. Former Pali MLA Shri Gyanchand Parakh and former Municipal Chairman Shri Mahendra Bohra also presented their suggestions and demands. District Collector Shri L.N. Mantri provided details about the district’s current situation, emergency measures, inspections, and ongoing plans.
