Parliamentary Affairs, Law and Legal Affairs Minister Shri Jogaram Patel visited the burn unit of Mahatma Gandhi Hospital on Sunday to meet passengers injured in the Jaisalmer bus accident.
Shri Patel inquired about the well-being of the injured and wished them a speedy recovery. Speaking with the families, he said the incident was extremely painful and assured that the state government stands firmly with the affected families during this difficult time.
He noted that the medical department and district administration have acted promptly and efficiently to provide timely relief and treatment, ensuring the injured receive all possible assistance and best medical care. Offering condolences to the bereaved, Shri Patel prayed for strength to the grieving families and peace to the departed souls.
Best Possible Treatment Being Provided
Shri Patel stated that all the injured are being given the best possible medical treatment. He discussed with doctors the patients’ conditions, burn percentages, treatment methods, and availability of resources.
Inspection of Burn Unit Facilities
The Minister reviewed the hospital’s facilities, including ventilators, oxygen support, intensive care beds, medicines, and nursing staff arrangements. He directed officials to ensure round-the-clock monitoring of every patient’s treatment. He also interacted with the families present at the hospital premises and checked on their accommodation, food, and other essential arrangements.
