OYO Expands into Vietnam, Strengthens Southeast Asia Presence with Aggressive Growth Plans
OYO Hotels & Homes, South Asia’s largest and one of the world’s fastest-growing hospitality chains, has announced its entry into Vietnam, marking a significant step in its Southeast Asia expansion strategy.
Vietnam Entry with Strong Investment Commitment
OYO has launched operations in Vietnam with over 90 franchised hotels across six key cities, including:
- Hanoi
- Ho Chi Minh City
- Da Nang
- Phu Quoc
- Vung Tau
- Nha Trang
The company plans to expand to 10 cities by 2020-end and has committed an investment of over $50 million to transform Vietnam’s hospitality landscape and provide affordable, quality accommodations.
OYO also aims to generate over 1,500 direct and indirect jobs in the country.
Rapid Growth in Indonesia
In Indonesia, OYO is scaling rapidly toward becoming the largest hotel chain:
- 1,082 hotels onboarded
- 720 operational hotels
- 300+ hotels under transformation
- ~20,000 rooms across 80 cities
This represents a 20x growth within just eight months. The company has already created over 10,000 employment opportunities and is supported by a network of 900+ OYOpreneurs.
Expansion Across Southeast Asia
OYO continues to grow its footprint across the region:
- Philippines: 8,000 rooms
- Malaysia: 1,300 rooms
