On the eve of Hindi divas, Dainik Jagran’s ‘Sanidhya’ under initiative ‘Hindi Hai Hum’ to make Hindi rich and strong was organized today at Indira Gandhi National Center for the Arts, Delhi.
A special exhibition depicting the progressive journey on 75 years of Dainik Jagran was inaugurated by the chief guest Union minister of State for Home Affairs Shr. Nityanand Rai
In his inaugural address, Union minister of State for Home Affairs Shr. Nityanand Rai “Hindi is prevalent in the spirit of Hindustan, the mind accepts Hindi only. The more you learn about other languages of the world, stronger Hindi language will become. Swami Vivekananda used to speak many languages of the world but he would only promote Hindi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi uses Hindi proudly across the globe ”
Sanjay Gupta, CEO and Editor-in-Chief, Jagran Prakashan Limited said “Hindi Hai Hum’ is a unique initiative to expand Hindi language. It connects with the Hindi culture of the country. Language is incomplete until the culture does not move along with it. If we want to save the culture and increase Indianness, then the spread of Hindi language is necessary”.
Member Secretary of Indira Gandhi National Center for the Arts Sachidanand said ” The future of Hindi belongs to young generation. Hindi has already faced many challenges in this country. Having many scripts is a challenge for Hindi. Mahatma Gandhi also talked about adopting the Devanagari script. Hindi is among the 3 most spoken languages in the world. 20% people speak Hindi at the world level. In today’s era, Hindi films are also showing their presence on the world stage which is a matter of great pride. In order to promote Hindi in future, Hindi should be taught at the language level. The use of Hindi should also be increased in work institutions.”
The event featured sessions which explore the possibilities leading to the betterment of Hindi language, various aspects of Hindi and the need of Hindi in work areas and the condition of Hindi in the present time . Noted senior poets, litterateurs, thinkers and critics will share their experiences in sessions.
In the daylong event , numerous sessions by renowned speakers like Prasoon Joshi, Prof. SudhishPachauri, Abdul Bismillah, Ram BahadurRai, Prof. Anand Kumar, Jainendra Singh, Sachchidanand Joshiand RJ Divya held.
