A virtuoso of Jazz Samba, Jim Porto is considered one of the greatest exponents of Brazilian music and in the world of Bossa Jazz. The Brazilian pianist, vocalist and composer Jim Porto accompanied by Francesco Lento, an Italian trumpet player and one of the finest percussionists, Robertinho Bastos performed at NCPA International Jazz Festival ’18 and mesmerized the audiences.

Jim has shared the stage with world-renowned Latin Jazz artists such as João Gilberto, Tania Maria, Jorge Ben, Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, Milton Nascimento, Roberto Gatto, Michele Ascolese and Marisa MonteDejavan, amongst many others. In addition to performing at the some of the largest jazz festivals globally, Jim is home to Blue Note Milan and Blue Note Rio de Janeiro recording his latest album “Live at Blue Note” highlighting his unique balance between Jazz and Bossa Nova, greatly appreciated worldwide. In his first album, Jim Porto had the honour of working with legendary American trumpeter, Chet Baker. His compositions have also been consistently chosen as soundtracks to popular television shows in Brazil.
