Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has been convicted in a long-pending cheque bounce case by a Mumbai court, which has also issued a non-bailable warrant against him. The Andheri Magistrate Court had set January 21 for the verdict, coinciding with Varma’s announcement of his upcoming film Syndicate. However, his absence at the hearing led the court to issue the warrant.
