The Cisco-CII Centre for AI, Networking & Entrepreneurship will be established at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Kaushalya Vikas Kendra in Kandivali, North Mumbai, marking the first global location under Cisco’s worldwide “40 Communities Initiative.”
The centre is designed to equip young people—especially women and first-generation learners—with in-demand technology skills, including Artificial Intelligence, Enterprise Networking, Cybersecurity and Automation, to build a future-ready workforce.
Over the next three years, the centre aims to train one lakh youth, with at least 40% participation from women across all programmes. The initiative is expected to boost local economic growth by supplying tech-skilled talent to MSMEs and major industries across Mumbai.
The announcement underscores a significant step toward securing a brighter future for the youth of North Mumbai and Maharashtra.
