Raipur, March 5, 2026: Chhattisgarh’s Commerce, Industry, Public Enterprises, Commercial Tax (Excise), and Labour Minister Lakhan Lal Dewangan will lay the foundation stones for various development projects worth ₹3.08 crore in Korba Municipal Corporation areas on March 6.
According to official information, the Korba MLA will begin the programme at 3:30 PM in Ward No. 56 (Primary School Agarkhar) under the Darri Zone of Korba Municipal Corporation. The projects include the construction of boys’ and girls’ toilets in 32 government schools at a cost of ₹1.60 crore and kitchen sheds in 21 government schools at a cost of ₹73 lakh.
Later, at 4:30 PM, the minister will visit Saraswati Shishu Mandir in the CSEB area to lay the foundation for several projects under the Kosabadi Zone. These include a school building construction at Saraswati Shishu Mandir in Ward No. 19 (approximately ₹25 lakh), road and shed construction work in Ward No. 22 (₹10 lakh), development of a green belt on the main road in Nehru Nagar, Ward No. 24 (₹30 lakh), and additional building construction and renovation work at Gayatri Yagya Peeth in Ward No. 21, CSEB Colony (approximately ₹10 lakh).
The projects are aimed at improving basic infrastructure, particularly in government schools, and strengthening civic facilities across different wards of Korba city.
