The cabinet approved a ₹1,782 crore special relief package for families affected by submergence under the Upper Narmada, Raghavpur, and Basania multipurpose projects across Anuppur, Mandla, and Dindori districts.

A total of 13,873 families will be affected. Each eligible family will receive ₹12.5 lakh as compensation, with additional assistance for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe families, covering nearly 50,000 beneficiaries.
Green Light for Rural Roads and Infrastructure Works
Under the Chief Minister Gram Road and Infrastructure Scheme, the cabinet allowed approval of works costing ₹10 lakh or more for FY 2025–26.
This clearance enables the completion of nearly 3,810 rural infrastructure projects at a total estimated cost of ₹693.76 crore, strengthening last-mile connectivity across the state.

To ensure smooth functioning of urban transit, the cabinet sanctioned ₹90.67 crore under the revenue head for operations and maintenance of the Bhopal and Indore Metro Rail projects for FY 2025–26.
