New Delhi, May 14: AJK MCRC, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) organised ‘Photo-Bazm’, a Photography Exhibition of its 2023-24 batch of P.G. Diploma in Still Photography & Visual Communication on 13th and 14th May, 2024. The two-day event was inaugurated with the lamp lighting ceremony on 13th May at the MF Husain Art Gallery of the university by Prof. Ghazanfar H. Zaidi, Former Dean, Faculty of Fine Arts, JMI. Amongst distinguished guests who visited were Prof. Bindulika Sharma, Prof. Shohini Ghosh and many faculty members from AJK MCRC. The exhibition was also attended by alumni of AJK MCRC.
Footfall of the students increased as the day progressed after the exams were over in the afternoon. Later in the day, the event witnessed a large gathering of students and their family members for the Audio-Visual screenings.
Prominent visitors at the exhibition include Gabrielle Fonseca Johnson (South Asia Editor, Reuters Pictures), Ravi Dhingra (Canon EOS Mentor) and Purushottam Diwakar (Senior Photojournalist, India Today).
The visual stories presented by the photography diploma students brought an array of themes. Admiration for the exhibition has been pouring out on social media as well.
