Jaipur, March 27, 2026 — The 220th meeting of the Jaipur Development Authority’s (JDA) Land and Property Disposal Committee concluded with a series of strategic decisions aimed at strengthening urban infrastructure, expanding public transport, and enhancing civic amenities in the city.
Chaired by Commissioner Siddharth Mahajan, the committee approved the allocation of land to Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation Limited to support non-fare revenue activities. A total of 7.45 hectares in Manpura village (Mojmabad tehsil) and 10.0529 hectares in Bhojpura village (Phagi tehsil) will be allotted, a move expected to improve the financial sustainability of the metro project.
In another key decision, the committee sanctioned the allotment of 1,000 square meters of land in Chakwada village (Phagi tehsil) to Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited for the construction of a 33/11 kV Grid Sub Station (GSS). This step is aimed at ensuring uninterrupted power supply and strengthening the city’s electricity infrastructure.
These approvals are set to accelerate Jaipur’s urban development by improving transport-linked revenue streams and reinforcing essential services such as power distribution.
The meeting was attended by Secretary Nishant Jain, Additional Commissioner Dr. Priya Balram, Deputy Commissioner Diggaj Changal, along with other senior officials.
