The Department of Commerce and Business Studies, Jamia Millia Islamia, organized a Webinar on ‘Staying focused, productive and dynamic at the time of crises’ on April 29, 2021. The webinar was organized to enable the students get motivated and have a positive approach in current scenario and has been attended by about 80 participants including students, research scholars and faculty members.Prof N.U.K. Sherwani, Head, Department of Commerce and Business Studies, welcomed the speaker, Dr. Uma Gulati, Professor, Gitarattan International Business School(GIBS), Delhi.
In his welcome address Prof N.U.K. Sherwani emphasised upon the need of organising such sessions to cope up with the difficult time being faced by everyone due to covid pandemic.Dr. Uma Gulati briefed the various problems being faced by the society in general and particularly the students due to the present pandemic and gave valuable advice to the students as to how to overcome the problems, get focussed towards various goals and improve productivity.
She motivated the participants by sharing valuable insightsThe webinar was followed by question & answer session where several participants raised their issues and problems due to the ongoing pandemic. The speaker gave valuable tips to cope with their problemsThe webinar concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. Naseeb Ahmad, in which he thanked the Vice Chancellor, Prof Najma Akhtar and Head of Department, Prof. N.U.K. Sherwani, for encouraging such events on regular basis. He thanked the resource person Dr. Uma Gulati for the valuable session and thanked the faculty members, guest teachers, research scholars and the participating students for attending the webinar.
