Governor Shri Hari Bhau Bagde stated that India is a nation with a vibrant culture, and has been the origin of the world’s intellectual, spiritual, and cultural heritage. He remarked that India taught the world the concept of universal equality through 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' (the world is one family). He emphasized that the occasion of completing 100 years of independence is linked to 'regaining India's lost glory.' He called for collective efforts to make India the world leader once again by reflecting on the country's rich knowledge traditions and unique cultural heritage.
Shri Bagde was addressing the annual event of 'Jaipur Dialogue 2024' at a private hotel on Friday. He expressed the aspiration for India to become an economic and cultural superpower. He said that this is a time to reconnect with our cultural and civilizational roots. Referring to ancient India's central role in global trade, he mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' (self-reliant India) is aligned with this context. It aligns with the Prime Minister’s five pledges — developed India, eradication of mental colonialism, pride in our heritage, unity of citizens, and duty towards the nation. This is a natural extension of the core principles of our civilization.
The Governor also stressed the need to enhance the intellectual capabilities of students in educational institutions, connect them with the nation through ethics and patriotism, and instill in them a sense of national pride by adopting the ideals of great personalities. He urged everyone to work together for building a 'Developed India' of the future.
Earlier, former Indian Administrative Service officer and founder of Jaipur Dialogue, Shri Sanjay Dixit, elaborated on the broader vision of 'Reclaiming Bharat' as part of 'Jaipur Dialogues 2024.'
