The district administration in Jaipur has issued strict directives to ensure adequate availability and uninterrupted supply of domestic LPG cylinders across the district. Acting in line with the instructions of Bhajanlal Sharma, the state government has emphasized maintaining a smooth distribution system and preventing any disruption in LPG supply to households.
District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni announced a series of measures to strengthen monitoring and prevent illegal storage, misuse, and black marketing of LPG cylinders. As part of the initiative, Additional District Collector (South) Yugantar Sharma has been appointed as the nodal officer to oversee supply management, while district supply officials have been assigned supporting responsibilities.
To address public grievances related to LPG supply, the administration has established a 24-hour district control room, with the helpline number 0141-2209016. Residents can also lodge complaints through state and national helplines including 181, 112, and 14435, operated by the Department of Consumer Affairs.
Authorities have also formed a district vigilance unit and special enforcement teams tasked with monitoring LPG distribution, identifying irregularities, and taking action against unauthorized storage or inflated pricing. The enforcement team recently conducted inspections at LPG agencies in Murli Pura and Ramganj areas, where adequate stocks of domestic cylinders were found. Agency operators were instructed to ensure quick resolution of consumer issues and avoid long queues or crowding at distribution points.
During a review meeting chaired by the district collector with officials from oil marketing companies including Bharat Petroleum, Indian Oil Corporation, and Hindustan Petroleum, officials stressed strict monitoring of supply chains and adherence to digital verification systems.
The administration also directed that LPG cylinders should be delivered only through OTP-based digital booking and delivery authentication, ensuring that supplies reach registered consumers. Public awareness campaigns are also being conducted to discourage panic booking and unnecessary stockpiling of cylinders.
