HYROX, the global fitness racing phenomenon, is gearing up for its first-ever two-day race in India with HYROX Bengaluru 2026, and the response has been electric. Since registrations opened on 4th December, over 5,000 athletes have already signed up, marking one of the fastest-selling HYROX races in the country’s history.
Set to take place on April 11 and 12, 2026, at Hall 04, Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), the event builds on the momentum of HYROX’s successful Indian debut. The sport first launched in Mumbai with 1,500 participants, followed by a high-energy edition in Delhi with 2,500 participants and a record-breaking second Mumbai race featuring over 3,300 athletes in September. HYROX India now aims to shatter those records, expecting over 8,000 participants for the Bengaluru edition.
HYROX India’s rapid rise continues to be reflected in the unprecedented demand for this season finale. The upcoming two-day race has attracted a diverse field in its first week alone, including international athletes representing 22 countries, underscoring the sport’s growing footprint in India’s fitness ecosystem. The participant base currently stands at 68% men and 32% women, demonstrating strong and balanced community interest across all categories.
“After the overwhelming success of HYROX Mumbai, which truly captured the imagination of the country, we’ve seen an unprecedented surge of interest from across India. Bangalore, my hometown and a city that epitomises India’s evolving fitness culture, is the natural next chapter in this journey. With strong demand from the local community and a lot of excitement on the ground, the stage is set for a historic weekend for fitness in India and for HYROX to become the country’s biggest fitness race," said Deepak Raj, Country Head, HYROX India.
As part of the season calendar, the Bengaluru race will also serve as a qualifier for the 2026 HYROX World Championships to be held in Stockholm in June, offering top Indian athletes a pathway to the world stage of hybrid fitness racing.
Each HYROX race features 8 x 1 km runs paired with functional workout stations, creating a unique test of endurance, strength, and mental resilience. The Bengaluru edition will continue to offer Individual, Doubles, and Relay Team categories for athletes aged 16 to 78+, welcoming both newcomers and seasoned competitors to what promises to be a celebration of endurance, community, and global competition.
