11 MoUs were signed today between India and Russia on the second day of DEFEXPO 2020. First India-Africa defence conclave is also underway in which Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is participating. AIR correspondent reports that the fifth India Russia Military Industry Conference resulted in the signing of 11 Memorandum of Understanding between two nations.
Major Companies which are part of these MoUs includes BHEL, Bharat Dynamics Limited and and Vista control from Indian side and INVERSIA, UVZ and BEML from Russian side. These MoUs were related to production of different defence equipment such as parts of t-72, T-90, radar systems, ASW Rocket launchers and 3D modeling. First Over ever India-Africa defence conclave also started this afternoon in which over 30 African countries are participating. Seminars on various issues are also underway at Defexpo.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in his key address during the seminar on US Defence Industry contribution towards Make in India, assured the representative of industry that the reforms started by central government in the field of defence production are not going to stop and one should tap the opportunity. Mr Singh said that he will always be there to resolve any problem that comes in the way of doing business.
