New Delhi, June 22, 2026: Reinforcing its commitment to improving rail accessibility and passenger convenience, Indian Railways has approved additional stoppages for four trains at key stations in Haryana and Rajasthan. The decision is aimed at strengthening regional connectivity and providing greater travel convenience to local residents, students, farmers, traders, daily commuters, and other railway users.
The newly approved stoppages include:
Train No. 54085/54086 Delhi–Satrod Passenger at Patuwas Meharana Station (Haryana)
Train No. 14619/14620 Agartala–Firozpur Express at Hansi Station (Haryana)
Train No. 14717/14718 Bikaner–Haridwar Express at Hansi Station (Haryana)
Train No. 12981/12982 Jaipur–Asarva Express at Bijainagar Station (Rajasthan)
The approvals were granted following detailed operational assessments and an evaluation of passenger demand, with all proposed stoppages found to be operationally feasible.
Improved Rail Connectivity for Patuwas Meharana
Located on the Rewari–Bhiwani section, Patuwas Meharana station currently serves three pairs of Mail/Express trains and two pairs of Passenger trains. The newly approved halt for the Delhi–Satrod Passenger train is expected to significantly improve daily commuting options for residents of nearby areas.
Previously, passengers relied on Jhajjarli and Charkhi Dadri stations, located approximately 6 km and 7 km away, respectively. The new stoppage will reduce dependence on these stations, improve first- and last-mile connectivity, and provide easier access to rail transportation for students, workers, and daily commuters.
Enhanced Long-Distance Connectivity for Hansi
Hansi, an important station on the Bhiwani–Hisar section, already handles eight pairs of Mail/Express trains, seven pairs of Passenger trains, and two pairs of Special trains, making it a key passenger hub in the region.
The approval of stoppages for the Agartala–Firozpur Express and Bikaner–Haridwar Express will provide passengers from Hansi and surrounding areas with direct access to additional long-distance rail services. Earlier, these trains halted only at Bhiwani City and Hisar stations, located approximately 37 km and 25 km away, respectively.
The new stoppages will improve connectivity with northern, eastern, and western regions of India while offering passengers greater flexibility and convenience in planning their journeys.
Additional Rail Access for Bijainagar
Situated on the Ajmer–Chanderiya section, Bijainagar station currently serves 19 pairs of Mail/Express trains and eight pairs of Special trains, reflecting its strategic importance in Rajasthan’s railway network.
Passengers travelling to and from Bijainagar will now benefit from the approved stoppage of the Jaipur–Asarva Express. Previously, the train stopped at Nasirabad and Bhilwara stations, located approximately 42 km and 67 km away, respectively.
The new halt will provide direct access to this important interstate service, strengthen connectivity between Rajasthan and Gujarat, and benefit traders, students, professionals, and business travellers in the region.
Passenger-Centric Approach to Rail Development
The approval of these additional stoppages reflects Indian Railways’ continued focus on enhancing passenger convenience, expanding accessibility, and strengthening regional transportation networks. By responding to local travel requirements and improving access to key rail services, Indian Railways aims to support economic activity, facilitate mobility, and deliver a more efficient and inclusive travel experience for passengers across the country.
