MUMBAI, JUNE 23, 2026: Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality company, today announced the signing of a Tree of Life resort at Chilika Lake, Odisha. This greenfield project marks the brand’s entry into the state.

Located on the banks of the lake, the 30-key Tree of Life Chilika Lake, Odisha offers unobstructed views of the lagoon. The resort features an all-day dining restaurant and bar, along with a spacious meeting room. Guests can unwind at the swimming pool or spa, creating a tranquil stay.

Chilika Lake in Odisha is the largest brackish water lagoon in Asia and the second largest coastal lagoon in the world. Recognised by UNESCO as a World Heritage site candidate, it is home to over 160 species of birds, the endangered Irrawaddy dolphin, and a rich diversity of marine and freshwater life.
