The Ministry implements Working Women Hostel Scheme through the State Governments/UT Administrations to promote availability of safe and conveniently located accommodation for working women in urban, semi-urban or even rural areas, including the metro cities of the country, where employment opportunities for women exist. State-wise list of Working Women Hostels is placed at Annexure- I.
This information was given by the Union Minister of Women and Child Development, Smt. Smriti Zubin Irani, in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha today.
