Horses Stable, a fundraising start-up based in Bengaluru, has partnered with Eximius, an annual entrepreneurship summit, to present “Pitcher Perfect,” IIM Bangalore’s version of Shark Tank. Social entrepreneurs shortlisted for the event will pitch their business ideas, and the best concept may receive over ₹1 crore in venture capital funding.
Horses Stable provides a platform for young entrepreneurs seeking funding for their start-ups as well as for investors looking to invest in innovative ventures. In its first season, investors committed ₹41.5 crore across 18 start-ups. Following the success of Season 1, Horses Stable is set to launch Season 2 in August.
Commenting on the collaboration, Prashant Agarwal, Founder of Horses Stable, said the initiative aims to support aspiring entrepreneurs in India by connecting them with funding opportunities. He added that India has strong entrepreneurial talent that mainly requires access to capital, which the platform seeks to provide.
Rohit Bamb, organiser of Eximius, said he is excited about the second season of Pitcher Perfect, which will enable social impact start-ups to pitch ideas and raise seed funding of over ₹1 crore. He noted that the partnership with Horses Stable has been enriching for both IIM Bangalore and participants.
