The Reverse Buyers–Seller Meet of the Handicraft Expo Jodhpur, organised by the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) at the Trade Facilitation Centre, was held on Thursday in the presence of Parliamentary Affairs Minister Shri Jogaram Patel as the chief guest.
Addressing the gathering, the Minister said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, the Rajasthan government is working with firm commitment towards industrial development and promotion of entrepreneurship across the state.
Rising Rajasthan Summit: Investment Momentum
Shri Patel highlighted that the state successfully organised the Rising Rajasthan Summit in its first year, resulting in MoUs worth ₹35 lakh crore, out of which work on projects worth nearly ₹8 lakh crore has already commenced. This, he said, reflects strong investor confidence in Rajasthan’s policy framework.

He added that initiatives like Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat are strengthening the domestic manufacturing ecosystem, generating employment, and making India globally competitive.

Under the Rajasthan Integrated Cluster Development Scheme, clusters related to handicrafts, handlooms, and MSMEs are being developed holistically.

Shri Patel said the Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme 2024 aims at balanced and inclusive regional development. Under the Panch Gaurav (One District–One Product) Scheme, local products are being promoted globally.
Wooden furniture from Jodhpur has been included under Panch Gaurav, providing international visibility to the city’s handicraft industry
He further noted that suggestions from entrepreneurs gathered during pre-budget consultations are being actively incorporated into the state budget, ensuring industry-driven policymaking.
The event reinforced Rajasthan’s focus on positioning handicrafts, MSMEs, and exports as key drivers of sustainable economic growth.
