Police in Gujarat’s Dahod district seized unaccounted cash worth over ₹2.56 crore from an Ertiga car during a routine vehicle checking operation near Dhanpur Chowkdi in Limkheda.
According to officials, police intercepted the vehicle during checking and discovered three suspicious parcels containing large quantities of Indian currency notes.
The cash was counted in the presence of panch witnesses, following which authorities initiated legal action.

Preliminary Investigation
During questioning, driver Rajubhai Ninama reportedly failed to produce valid documents related to the cash.
Police sources stated that the driver allegedly claimed:
- The money was handed over by Bharat Chopra from Dahod
- The cash was being transported to Vadodara
- The transfer was linked to an angadia firm
Action Taken
Limkheda Police:
- Seized the entire cash amount under BNSS provisions
- Deposited the money in the government treasury
- Officially informed the Income Tax Department for further investigation

- Source of the cash
- Financial trail
- Possible tax violations
- Legitimacy of the transportation process
The seizure has drawn attention due to the large amount of unaccounted cash and the suspected use of informal money transfer channels.
